Archive for Tuesday, May 9, 2006 Second Spring Hill woman dies from Junction crash Laura Miller, a 19-year-old Spring Hill woman who was injured in a fatality accident April 29 at the Baldwin Junction, has also died. Miller was a passenger in a car driven by Jennifer Jamison, also 19 and from Spring Hill. Jamison was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Miller was taken by ambulance to Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., where at last report she was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. She died Monday. The accident happened in the late afternoon of April 29 when, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's office, Jamison was westbound on U.S. Highway 56, stopped at the stop sign, but then pulled in front of a pickup that was northbound on U.S. Highway 59. The driver of the pickup is from Ottawa, but no other information was released about him. He refused treatment at the scene.
